Today we’d like to talk to you about a topic that plays an important role within our company and our company values. But first as this is our first blog of the year- we thought we’d take a second to talk about 2020.
Last year taught us many lessons. Lessons about health, family, work, resilience, community, and humanity. Lessons we’ll carry forward into 2021 and future in general. A few of them in particular are that the adversity we face and the resilience we respond with has the power to shape our lives. With each challenge, we are given the opportunity to persevere, learn and grow into stronger, more compassionate and more grateful human beings.
Now more than ever we’ve realized that people are facing hardships and difficulties financially. Our awesome automotive client, Shabana Motors believes in putting the Houston community first. Chairman Aftab Rahmtulla believes that Education is one of the most important causes that Shabana Motors can contribute to. That is why he decided to donate to Texas Southern University.
In January of 2020, we had the pleasure of meeting the first two TSU scholarship recipients. See videos below.
Brandi and Chidiebera were both seniors at the time who encountered financial burdens or unexpected emergencies and were able to graduate because of the scholarship. The following semester, we met with scholarship recipient, Elana and had the pleasure of getting to know her story. Stay tuned for a video sharing her story soon.
For us helping Shabana Motors capture these important moments with the TSU students and share each of their impactful stories was insightful and rewarding.
